Big Kitchen Recipe

Chocolate Balloon Bowls

What you need

Melting chocolate
Packet of balloons
Microwaveable bowl
Tin foil
Tooth pick or sharp pin

What you do

Pop your chocolate in the big deep bowl and melt it in the microwave. Blow up your balloons to about the size of a small rock melon. Tie the end off the balloon (or get mum or dad to help you).

Holding the tied end of the balloon, dip it into the melted chocolate (make sure you’ve let it cool down a bit first) using a swirling dunking technique, so the chocolate comes about 5cm up the side of the balloon.

Keep holding the balloon and place it on a sheet of tin foil. Hold it there for about 30 seconds and as the chocolate hardens, it will start to stand on its own!

Once the chocolate is hardened up, use your tooth pick or pin to very carefully pop your balloon.

You will be left with yummy Chocolate Balloon Bowls!
