Can Do

Kia ora, talofa!
Kiwi kids can do anything they set their mind to, especially if they have a pair of older hands to help them :o)
We've got a list of things you might like to make and do which we keep adding to. We'd love to have your ideas included here too so email us with your favourite thing to make or do.

This Week's Can Do

Kath Bee's Bubble Mixture

This mixture is super easy and super fun - just remember to leave it to sit for a few hours before you use it. (The longer the better, actually :o)

Kath's recipe only makes about a cup of bubble mixture - if you want more you can double the recipe.

What you need:
the help of an adult
a jug with a pourer, to mix the mixture in
a wooden spoon for stirring
small containers to store the mixture in

a cup of water
4 tablespoons of dishwashing liquid (any kind)
2 tablespoons of glycerin/glycerol (you can buy this at a chemist shop)

What you do:
Pour the water into the jug, and add the dishwashing liquid and the glycerin/glycerol.
Gently stir the mixture together. You don't want to mix it quickly and make lots of bubbles.
Pour the mixture into the containers and leave it to sit for a while.

Then make amazing bubbles with it, using a bubble wand.  If you don't have one of those, come back for Kath Bee's Bubble Wand, next week!
